A national network of 236 legal practitioners

About Us
Basadi Ba Molao NPO is a dynamic, member-based non-profit organisation that brings together a national network of 236 legal practitioners, equally divided between practising advocates and attorneys. Our mission is rooted in community impact, professional development, and advocacy for justice.
Operating nationwide, we provide a wide array of services to both our members and the broader public, including:
- Mentorship programmes that foster growth and knowledge-sharing among legal professionals;
- Pro bono legal services, ensuring access to justice for under-resourced individuals and communities; and
- Public education and awareness initiatives, such as the Financial Abuse course, which seeks to combat economic forms of abuse through legal education.
Basadi Ba Molao functions as a hub for ethical leadership and social justice within the legal profession. It complements the work of the education and training arm by advocating for community upliftment and championing a progressive, inclusive legal culture.

Education & Training Services

Basadi Ba Molao Education and Training Services (Pty) Ltd is a pioneering legal training institution established with the objective of transforming access to the legal profession. With a nationwide reach, we conduct our annual intake between July and August, offering practical vocational training (pupillage) for aspiring advocates.
Since inception, Basadi Ba Molao has maintained an impressive record of professional integration, with all its pupils progressing to practice within the legal fraternity. Notably, 90% of the 2022 cohort secured chambers at Pitje Chambers, where Basadi Ba Molao is presently headquartered.
Beyond pupillage, we offer a growing portfolio of short courses designed to equip legal professionals with critical skills. These include:
Mediation Skills
Practice Management
We distinguishes ourselves by offering quality training that directly supports entry into, and sustainability within, legal practice. While the Legal Practice Council (LPC) remains the sole accreditor for competency examinations, Basadi Ba Molao plays a key developmental role by ensuring candidates are practically and professionally prepared.
Our Community

Basadi Ba Molao brings together a national network of legal practitioners dedicated to mentorship, pro bono services, and public education. Through these efforts, we promote access to justice, professional growth, and a progressive, inclusive legal culture.
